Please keep it handy for easy reference. The month of January will be very busy. Also, important dates are posted on the preschool calendar. Please remember to put a hat and gloves in your child's bookbag. We may go outside on the days when it is not so cold. And we love to go out in the snow. Please remember NO BOOTS MAY BE WORN IN THE CLASSROOM OR AT THE GYM -- no snow boots, no fashion boots, no western style boots. If your child is wearing boots because of the weather, put a pair of shoes in their bookbag. Please remember to return library books on their assigned days -- 4AM, Friday; 4PM, Wednesday. Please remember to bring in the assigned items for our January activities. Preschool HighlightsWe follow Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards. Early Learning StandardsWe aim to provide a positive preschool experience in a Christian setting. We believe each child is special. We plan our early learning experiences based on four principles. English Language Arts: acquisition of vocabulary, phonemic awareness, letter recognition, word recognition, fluency, reading process, writing process, communication, etc. Mathematics: counting, number recognition, graphing, measuring, spatial relationships, patterning, etc. Science: provide experiences with living things, their life cycles, and their habitats; processes that shape the earth; explore how things move and change; do simple experiments; etc. Social Studies: learn about time in relation to themselves, including their daily routines and schedules, what they did yesterday and what they will do tomorrow; sharing personal stories and traditions; etc. | Pre-School Events
