1-23-12 Week At A Glance

Reading/Language:  This week we will be working on Lesson 17 "Annie's Gifts".    The students will determine the setting of the story when reading. We continue to learn about adjectives using our senses: how something looks, tastes, feels, sounds and smells.

Religion:  The students will be tested on chapter 9 concepts on Wednesday January 25th. Study guides will come home Monday.

Math:  We are finishing up our unit on Geometry. This week we focus on vocab: edges, faces & vertices and will learn about lines of symmetry. Unit 5 test is scheduled for next Monday 1-30-12.

Social Studies:  We begin unit 3 - Looking at the Earth. This week we will focus on different kinds of landforms. Your child will be completing a project with this unit. Details of this project will come later.  

Science: Monday we will finish making our constellation viewers. The rest of the week will focus on learning about the moon and its phases.
